What is Zalgo Text?
Zalgo text (also known as "corrupted text" or "glitch text") is created by combining regular characters with numerous Unicode combining diacritical marks. These marks were originally designed to add accents to letters, but when stacked excessively, they create an eerie, glitchy appearance that seems to "corrupt" the text.

How It Works
This converter uses combining characters from the Unicode range U+0300 to U+036F. Each character in your text can be combined with multiple diacritical marks, which can be placed above (top), through (middle), or below (bottom) the character. The intensity sliders control how many marks are added in each position.
Additionally, this tool can incorporate Cyrillic characters and other special symbols to enhance the "corrupted" appearance of your text.

In internet folklore, "Zalgo" represents a virtual entity symbolizing chaos and corruption in the digital world. The legend describes Zalgo as having seven mouths and holding both a planet of death and a candle casting shadow-light. When Zalgo approaches, people's eyes turn black and they proclaim "He comes!"
