How It Works?
Budget Tracker Pro simplifies personal finance management with its intuitive design and powerful functionality. Here's how you can use it to track your income and expenses:
Step-by-Step Guide
Add a Transaction:
- Enter a brief description of the transaction in the "Transaction Description" field (e.g., "Salary" or "Groceries").
- Input the amount in the "Amount" field. You can add values as precise as eight decimal places (e.g.,
0.00123456
). - Select the transaction type:
- Income: Adds the amount to your balance.
- Expense: Deducts the amount from your balance.
- Click the "Add Transaction" button to save the transaction.
Edit a Transaction:
- Click the Edit button next to a transaction in the list.
- The transaction details will appear in the input fields, allowing you to make changes.
- Once edited, add it back to the list as a new transaction.
Delete a Transaction:
- Click the Delete button next to the transaction you want to remove.
- The transaction is immediately deleted, and your balance is updated.
View Your Transactions:
- All your transactions are displayed in a neatly organized list under the "Transactions" section.
- Income transactions are highlighted in green, while expenses appear in red for easy distinction.
Check Your Balance:
- Your real-time balance is prominently displayed at the top.
- Positive balances appear in green, while negative balances are shown in red.
Reset All:
- To start over, click the "Reset All" button.
- This clears all transactions and resets the balance to $0.00.
Save Your Data:
- Your transaction data is automatically saved in browser cookies.
- When you revisit the page, your transaction history and balance are restored automatically.
